Dr Perez

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Alicia Perez completed her medical degree in 2019 at the University of Sydney. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to completing her fellowship, she worked at both Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Dubbo Base Hospital where she gained experience in areas such as Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Alicia is interested in all aspects of general practice with particular focus on women’s health including Pregnancy Counselling and medical termination, sexual health, and public health. Prior to medicine she completed a Masters of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science with first class Honours.

Alicia is an antenatal shared care GP at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), Canterbury Hospital, St George Hospital and Sutherland Hospital.
 

Dr Heazlewood

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Lyn Heazlewood graduated from Flinders University Medical School in 2011. Prior to commencing General Practice, Lyn worked in the Emergency Department at the Northern Beaches Hospital, in Northern Territory and Regional NSW. Lyn is interested in all aspects of General Practice with particular interest in preventative health, sexual health. Lyn has also completed the Sydney Child Health Program (previously Diploma Child Health) and additional Mental Health skills training..
 

Dr Szyc

Following a career in medical research, Annaliese made the decision to study medicine graduating from the University of Sydney in 2017. She completed her hospital training at St George and Sutherland Hospitals before becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Annaliese enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in Women's Health and is a recognised Antenatal shared care provider for the South Western Sydney local health district Hospitals. Her other interests include Preventative Health and Paediatrics. Outside of work Annaliese enjoys cooking and camping with her family.
 

Dr Nguy

B. Med, FRACGP

Dr Nguy
Dr Vincent Nguy is a General Practitioner who grew up in Sydney and obtained his medical degree from the University of Newcastle in 2010. He gained experience working in Canterbury and Concord Hospitals before obtaining his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). More recently Vincent has spent the last few years working in rural NSW in the townships of Broken Hill, Tamworth, and Warialda. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in sexual health including PrEP provision, paediatrics, and preventative health. Outside of work, Dr Nguy is passionate about martial arts and being in the outdoors.
 

Dr Tan

Dr Tan graduated from UNSW in 2015 and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is a strong believer in preventative medicine and takes a wholistic approach to patient care. Her comprehensive approach aims to improve both physical and psychological health. Dr Tan performs procedures such as skin biopsies and Implanon insertions. She has also undergone further training in paediatric medicine having completing her Diploma in Children’s health. She has also completed additional mental health training. She is a recognised antenatal shared care provider for the South Western Sydney and Central Sydney Local Health District Hospitals. In addition, she is currently completing her Masters of Public Health to learn more about policy change and advocacy.
 

Dr Manoharan

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Manoharan
Dr Manoharan graduated from the University of New South Wales. He undertook his initial postgraduate training at Concord Hospital. He then completed three years of physician training at Liverpool Hospital, which offered him an opportunity to manage very complex medical patients with multiple medical issues. He then decided to pursue a specialty pathway focused on health prevention and continuous patient care and moved from hospital based medicine to general practice. This has enabled Dr Manoharan to provide holistic and patient based care. Dr Manoharan is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and enjoys all aspect of general practice, with a special interest health prevention, complex chronic disease care and paediatrics. He has been involved in teaching and examining medical students from UNSW and UWS over the past few years.
 

Dr Van

MBBS, FRACGP, Dip Child Health

Dr Van
Dr Debbie will be going on maternity leave from 30 November 24. Dr Debbie is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She graduated from UNSW in 2012 and chose to specialise in General Practice in order to offer quality patient care in the community setting. She believes that the best aspects of her work include getting to know her patients and building lasting partnerships to achieve happy and healthy goals. Dr Debbie enjoys all aspects of General Practice ranging from preventative care to chronic disease management. Her special interests include women’s and children’s health, having obtained a Diploma in Child Health and undertaken further training with the Family Planning Alliance Australia in Reproductive and Sexual Health. She is a recognised Antenatal Shared Care doctor with Bankstown Hospital, Canterbury Hospital and RPA Hospital. Dr Debbie is experienced in Implanon insertions and removals and is also trained in IUD insertions.
 

Dr Thai

Dr Han Thai
Dr Thai has practised medicine for over 10 years. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is actively involved in teaching and works as a College examiner for GP registrars. He has a special interest in preventative medicine, men's health, sexual health, and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr Thai is a dual specialist in Occupational and Environmental medicine. He completed his fellowship with the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) and has conducted research in the field of workplace stress. Han also supervises Occupational medicine registrars for AFOEM.
 

Dr Nguyen

Dr Thao Nguyen
Dr Nguyen graduated from UNSW with an honours in medicine. She has gained experience across various hospitals in Sydney and rural NSW. She has a special interest in women's and children's health, having completed additional training at the Sydney Children's Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women. She has a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is experienced in performing implanon insertion and removals, and is an antenatal shared care doctor with RPAH and The Royal Hospital for women. Dr Nguyen values the General Practitioner's role in health prevention and promotion, to keep people and communities healthy and happy. She looks forward to meeting people from all ages and backgrounds, and the privilege of hearing their story. Dr Nguyen participates in the ongoing education and training of junior doctors. She works part-time as a lecturer at the University of Notre Dame and is an examiner of upcoming GPs with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Joanne

Joanne Sorrentino grew up in Sydney and obtained her psychology degree at Macquarie University. She completed her Internship through the Australian College of Applied Psychology. Joanne has over 10 years’ experience providing a wide range of treatment to children, adolescents and adults. She provides psychoeducation and interventions relevant to the management of developmental and educational issues across the lifespan. She has a particular interest in utilizing the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Model and implementing Solution Focused Therapy. She also has experience working with patients who have sustained a psychological injury to assist them in rejoining the workforce. Through her work, Joanne emphasizes the importance of working with patients to overcome any presenting problem. Her work follows resilience building and involves the teaching of specific strategies and the modification of negative attitudes, beliefs and behaviours to enhance a patient’s quality of life Joanne believes in a Biopsychosocial model and prides herself on her ability to assess each individual’s needs and work alongside a multidisciplinary team to devise and implement tailored and holistic treatment management plans
